I’m Charlotte, the person behind CLR Design Studio.
My path into design has not been completely linear, which is probably why I’m drawn to the bit before things become obvious.
The early part of the work is where I tend to lean in:
when ideas are still moving around, something feels unresolved, and the right direction has not quite landed yet.
HOW I THINK
I tend to look for what is underneath the surface.
What is pulling attention?
What feels unclear?
What should lead?
What needs more room?
That way of thinking shapes how I approach design. Not as decoration, but as a way to give ideas form, rhythm and structure.

WHAT I NOTICE
I pay attention to how places make people feel and behave.
Where people pause.
Where they look.
How they know where to go.
What makes a place feel open, confusing, calm or alive.
That is where brand starts to interest me most: not just as something people see, but something they move through and respond to.

WHAT I'M DRAWN TO
Spaces with atmosphere.
Brands with a point of view.
Design that helps people understand where they are and what matters.
The studio is still taking shape, but this is the thread I keep following: direction before design, and design that makes people feel more connected to a place.
